LOVE IS POSSIBLE

15 MINUTES ‘LOVE TALK’ GIVEN BY STEPHEN O. J. ON MAY 12TH, 2013 AT THE CONCERT OF LOVE - MAY EDITION OF WIHP AT THE VISIONHOUSE (VIRA) IN CELEBRATION OF COMING UP HOLY MATRIMONY BETWEEN PASTOR ISRAEL S. AGBOOLA & SIS. DEBORAH O. OLAGUNDOYE ON MAY 18TH, 2013.

                                     TOPIC: LOVE IS POSSIBLE
A lot of definitions have been given about love in the world over and I want to add mine to it by saying; “Love is an invisible force that harmoniously connects people together with affectionate bond through inaudible communications from hearts to hearts but expresses itself laudably in deeds and empowers those involved to achieve a common purpose.”

I have been working with Pastor Israel for a while and he is known to be a man who is in love having been found to be in love with God. I saw his passion for God and I said wow! ‘This is another man on the planet earth that is credibly showing the way to love God’. If somebody can love God exclusively, he can love man without holding back since our love for God is measured by our love for fellow human beings. I have seen him displayed a high level of commitment to God’s work even when it is convenient and when it is not convenient. And I am greatly assured that my sister is so blessed and well favored. I believe that a man like Pastor Israel will not fail in love and Sister Opeyemi will not be starved of love.

Come to think of it, in this present dispensation around the world a lot of people believe love does not exist which may be due to different reasons best known to them. But above all, what I have to say is that; “love is possible, love is available and love is obtainable. As much as you can give it, you can have it. Those who hold back from showing love may never win love. The key to be loved is to love others.”
I love this quote by Francois de La Rochefoucould; “true love is like ghosts, which everyone talks about and few have seen.” It is my earnest desire that you will be among the few that will see love. If you have never seen love, you will begin to enjoy love from this moment forward by rightly positioning yourself.

For those who don’t believe in love any longer by not believing there is true love. They don’t believe that a husband can be faithful to his wife; they don’t believe that a wife can be faithful to her husband; they don’t believe that a staff can be faithful to the boss; they don’t believe that people can truly love people – I think maybe they themselves don’t give it. Because you see people the way you are. But their unbelief doesn’t change the truth that love is possible. It truly exists if only you will give it, you will have it.

Another point that make love is possible is simply because God is love and love is God according to 1 john 4:7 – 8. For as long God exists, love remain obtainable. If God can never die then, the same is applicable to love. Love never dies. If God will be forever, love will be forever. So, whoever is ready can have it because love never dies. It is important to know that more of God is more of love.
For the purpose of emphasis, the truth is this; love truly exists and it is very possible to experience it even now and forever. Love is always possible but it doesn’t happen by itself as many people usually expected.  Whoever want to be loved, must in the first place be loving to experience the same in return. When you are loving, you become lovable and by being lovable; you will definitely be loved.

FEW NOTABLE QUOTES ABOUT LOVE WRITTEN BY SOME PEOPLE.

SOMETIMES AGO, I WROTE SOME STUFFS ABOUT LOVE WHICH IS WORTH SHARING. SO I TOOK THE FOLLOWING QUOTES OUT OF MY UNPUBLISHED WORKS ON LOVE.
“You win people over more steadily, firmly, deeply and speedily with the depth and genuiness of love you often display towards them.”
“We love most excellently when we make up our minds to love and not just moved by mere emotional feelings and invalid affections or lust. Remember, love is by decision. Until you make a decision you cannot love the way you should.”
“You can love people you ought to hate – it is still divine. But never hate people you should love – it is catastrophe.”
“If it is love, it doesn’t hurt. If it hurts, it is not love. There is no deceitfulness in love. Love is completely harmless; it is human beings that could be so harmful to one another not love.”
“Every love declaration remains invalid until it is proved. Your love will definitely be tested. Will your love for yours always appreciate when you finally know everything about your wife or husband? Think about it!”
“To love your partner could be done at best by you, give no one else the chance to do it better than you. Failure to love your spouse as you should do will make someone else do it better.”
“Whatever is your argument or quantitative analysis of a person and the parameter employed for starting a relationship; ‘the joy of spending one’s life time or every moment with the right person is the most important thing in every relationship – especially, marital relationship.”
“People cannot love you better than you allow them.”
“To find a heart that will genuinely love you at your worst and arms that will firmly hold you at your weakest is for you to have a heart that will love someone at his/her worst and a stronger arm to hold the person at his/her weakest.” (INSPIRED BY AN UNKNOWN AUTHOUR).
“If I claim to love God and always do to or for or with people what I shouldn’t then, I don’t love God. We ought not to do wrong, but when we keep doing wrong to or for or with people, we don’t truly love God.”
“To love doesn’t mean you are cheap but it means you are a divine breed of humanity. Let nothing hold you back from loving. Don’t fear rejection, don’t fear the possibility of being taken for granted. Love will never fail you!”

WHAT LOVE IS AND WHAT LOVE IS NOT
Many people have written about love, some often sing sonorously about love and there are loads of different movies on love even diverse talks too have been delivered on this same subject across the world. Yet, a larger percentage of people don’t get it right. However, this is my own submission about love:
Love is God and it is only those who know God, who fear God and who faithfully serve God that can truly love. When you see God in people, you will treat them well; that is love.
If you claim to love your spouse yet, you are not faithfully committed to the success of the relationship; that is not love. By doing people good only for your own selfish interest, you are not expressing love.
The moment you take purity, righteousness, nobility, truthfulness and lovable, admirable, excellent and praise worthy deeds out of the relationship you share with people, you have taken love out of it which may make it difficult to enjoy God. Philippians 4:8.
Love is supernatural but it develops naturally within us towards others when we allow it.
“If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?” _ The Bible
“This is how we know the children of God and who the children of devil are; anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”_ 1 John 3:10
In conclusion, ‘love is the greatest of all virtues’. When you don’t have it, you lack everything.
Life will be lifeless without love. Hence, consistently love till your last breathe.
Take time out to read and meditate on 1Corinthians 13: 1-13 and you will get a full download of all that I have just shared on the subject love.
