Every time you tell me the truth

Inability to trust what/who is exquisitely trustworthy is unprofitable.

Negatively demonstrated carefulness is carelessness.

When caution is exercised out of context, it exposes you to the very danger you aimed to avoid.

A feeling, thought or view that the truth before your face is not true doesn't make it false. Probably, you need to adjust or change your binoculars, microscopes and the lenses through which you view things. Endeavour to perfect the parameters, yardsticks, hypotesis and systems you often employ to do diagnosis, analysis, evaluations and draw conclusions. Watch out! You are most likely a/the major suspect of everything you wrongly accuses people for all of the time. It is wrong to continually see others through magnified lenses of your own instability, unreliability and negative practices.

ONLY TIME WILL TELL

By reflecting on everything I have done and I have never done, I realised;
there are things I once thought/said I will never do that I ended up doing
and there are other things I once thought/said I will do that I didn't do.

Right now; I am in the known of only everything I have done and everything I have never done plus the things I love/want to do and the things I don't love/want to do.
But I don't know the things I will end up doing and not doing.
Only time will tell what I will still do and what I will not do in the future.

However, I do know that if I continually yield my mind to only the right things; my decisions/choices and steps will be well ordered into what is right and my entire life will depict 'infectiously exemplary rightful living'.

Your mind, what you continually feed it with and how you engages it determines your resolves, attitudes, actions and manifestations. At the end of the day, you wouldn’t end up doing contrarily to what is right if your heart is well guarded all the time. It is non-negotiable for you to ensure time always tell/reveal only what is right, pure, good, noble, lovely, inspiring, beneficial, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy about you.

THE SKY IS RED

Things were yet to fall apart when Chinua Achebe wrote Things Fall Apart perhaps; he gave a prophesy of what to come. How I wish he is still alive to caption the present realities because it is not only iroko tree that has fallen, even mahogany tree and the likes have all fallen. Great respect to his wealth of wisdom and writing prowess.

In those days, it was male folks that pride in exposing the ladies they had canal knowledge of to shame them for whatever reason. While female folks don't have the gut to do likewise; they rarely/don't make public declarations of whoever has seen their nakedness in the closet (since public nudity wasn't in vogue way back) talkless of revealing who had sex with them.

However, it is now the other way round. The boys/guys/men have come to understand that it is wrong for them to broadcast to the world their sexual involvement with any girl/lady/woman to respect and protect the dignity of the women they have rocked their world. As a result, male folks now rarely make public revelations of ladies they have screwed. But on the other hand, it is female folks that now pride in publicly exposing the guys they had sex with in order to shame, blackmail, charge and to ultimately destroy them. What a shame!

How things change so fast and so bad that those days, whatever is wrong was regarded as wrong but this days, wrong things are now widely embraced as right things. What else do you expect now that many girls/ladies/women find it shameful to be decent and modest in every way thereby, go out nude considered a prestigious new fashion trend of which it is absolute absurdity of highest degree? That is just one of the many unwholesome realities which is enough to convince you that the world is now upside down and the sky is no longer blue but red.

You too should judge for yourself in all fairness given the account below supposing it is true.

As a single lady in 1917, you willingly engaged in amorous relationship with a married man that generously made your bank accounts very robust coupled with trips all over the world and juicy gifts that even professional prostitutes may never earn for donkey years of prostitution yet, you shamelessly come out in 2017 claiming he did it with you to tarnish his image! Shame on you!

Let's even assume your claim is true; what are you insinuating? Where will that lead you to? What were you thinking that made you consented in the first place or you didn't know it was wrong? 'Sebi, dem no use charm for you or you wan say dem put gun for your head'? Even if he did hundredsome with you and your types, weren't you bountifully rewarded for it? Or may be he left you for another so the gifts were no longer coming in? But in the first place, he is married and you know it; why didn't you refused his questionable request for the sake of his wife (at least you are a woman like her)? I see; it is another way to source for cheap money from your victim after he had freely given you so much in exchange for the sex. You must be a shameless ingrate!

I think it is about time all female folks guilty of such anomalies should go and learn/start a legitimate trade to make money and a good name for themselves to make the sky blue again. Such foul testimonies, revelations, confessions, scripts, stories, schemes and setups don't sell. The world have had enough of it. At the end of the day, instead of bringing down their targets; those long throat ladies with their evil schemes ended up promoting those 'innocent men' and their work while they themselves go into oblivion because their case is invalid and undefendable.

Incase you don't know, anybody that is already made by diligently doing a legitimate work is indestructible by any 'scandalless scandal' as a curse curseless don't stand. After all, it was a consensual sexual engagement between both of you and each of you is an adult. It is a draw; no winner no loser. But coming out to blackmail him makes you a loser. Every attempt to make an issue out of no issue to get at someone exposes your foolishness and renders you defeated forever.

To pass your exams or to get a job or promotion at work or political appointment or to cover up a secret or to secure any favour: your lecturer or employer or boss or whoever incharge demanded for sex in exchange for what you wanted; you didn't raise alarm instantly instead, you gave in without hesitation. Infact, 'o ni bara ti e na n jale' (i.e you also indulge in stealing as an alms begger)! Whether he keep to the agreement or not, should you later on come out demanding that he should be crucified for having sex with you; there is no sympathy for you and you need to undergo psychiatric diagnosis to ascertain you are not suffering from mental dementia. Must you sell your body to make gain? Can't you go after what you want legitimately? You are a joker because your claim is baseless. 'Won ti ba e su lori te' (i.e you were screwed for nothing)!

Both real men and real women don't patronise anyone for unwholesome sexual relationship and don't succumb to undue sexual advances from anybody. Infact, their reactions and responses help whoever comes to them with such negative demands to regain his/her right senses.

Therefore, my candid advice to everyone is: always ensure you are in your right senses and be a real man/woman who don't patronise anyone for questionable sexual engagement or succumb to such advances from anyone irrespective of what is at stake. Don't wait until the wrong deed is done before raising alarm.

Kudos to every real woman out there who summoned courage against all odds and stood solidly without compromise behind their husbands when strange women levied against them allegations of secret sexcapede claiming they had with those men, whether true or false. May you never miss the rewards that is due you. Blessed are you among all women. Your marriage remains indestructible. Your adversaries (those Jezebels, husband snatchers, home wreckers, joy killers, propagandists and destiny destroyers) are defeated already and they cannot have who/what is rightfully yours. What a wise people you are! Thanks for doing notably well and that is why the sky is still blue from your own side unlike those on the other side who had turned the sky to red.

STILL ON UNIFORM MATTER

In the ongoing brouhaha about wearing uniform or not, I have this profound insight to share with those who are receptive to the truth.

Uniform or no uniform, the most important thing is delivery of a very good job well done by everyone concerned.

If law makers are so uncomfortable and outraged by 'unbearable skyrocket rate' of injustice and corrupt practices in the society the way they were overtly outraged by refusal of an officer to put on his uniform so much he was refused audience unless he comply; corruption and evil deeds would have been drastically reduced if not totally checked out.

When a people begin to major in the minor and minor in the major, they create chaos and become a mess. Should everyone in the workforce begin to wear uniform today, it will profit little in as much we take our eyes and minds off gross injustice, indiscipline and corrupt practices. For as long we don't walk out people guilty of criminality in the corridor of power to make a positive change the very way Ali was walked out to put on custom uniform (and Magu was rejected to head EFCC based on the allegations filed against him by DSS), the real change we crave is already thrown away into deep blue sea.

However, anybody undertaking a uniformed job should align for orderliness and identification among other valid reasons for wearing uniform. But in keeping with, such fellow should deliver excellent performance on duty - which is the greatest of it all.

Until Nigerians at all levels are dissatisfied and tired of our negative tendencies (indiscipline, injustice, corruption and mediocrity); those wrong things common to us will never be tired of us thereby, they will always be on the increase. Corruption will never stop itself because it is not self evolved - people indulge in it; it is people that must fiercely resist it by firmly restraining themselves individually and collectively from perpetrating it.

THE IMPOTENCY OF KARMA AND FREEDOM

Karma, retribution, vengeance, payback time, deliverance and freedom is/are rendered impotent in a situation where the oppressed and their oppressors are exactly the same.

If whoever is oppressed by those above him is also an oppressor of those below him, he will remain under oppression until he stop oppressing others.

Those who loot public treasury easily get away with their criminal offences in a society where everyone has taken to the path of corruption and injustice at all levels.

To curse and protest against unjust and corrupt people in position of power changes nothing having collected bribe from them in exchange for your vote at the poll that brought them to power. You don't need a priest to reveal to you that by taking a gift from contestants to vote for them during election, you have given them immunity to freely commit atrocities in power and nothing you can do to check them out.

When those at the grass root are as corrupt as those at the top, divine intervention is hindered by the very people at the grass root who suffer the most because they are also guilty of the atrocities committed by those at the top. In a situation where the victims too don't have clean hands like their oppressors, it is 'elemi lo ma last' (i.e survival of the fittest) between them.

Prayers of vengeance offered by a wicked person against the wickedness he suffers from another don't reach the roof of his own house. When the wicked begin to suffer for his wickedness in the fullness of time, he is facing the consequences of his wrong deeds which is not caused by the prayers of his non-innocent victims. Only innocent people win God's defence and fight against their oppressors. If you are also guilty of the same evil you are crying to God to avenge for you, 'you are still on a very long thing'. That is why a lot of people are still in bondage.

To gain freedom from your oppressors, do not oppress anybody.
To have/enjoy a just and fair government in your society, be just and fair.
To rid out corrupt and bad leaders at all levels, don't indulge in corrupt and evil practices.
To a very large extent, the way many people are (in mindset, conducts, attitudes and character) is exactly the way their leaders are. You cannot demand accountability and rightfulness from anyone if you are not accountable and righteous.

SO YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT CORRUPT?

Consider your ways before you curse whoever is guilty of gross indiscipline, corruption and other criminal offences to be sure you are not exactly like them in the making.

If you habitually employ malpractices (no matter how little) to get things done and make gain as a follower, you won't do otherwise eventually you rise to position of leadership. Ultra corrupt leaders started their corrupt practices way back before they become leaders.

Unlawful acts often perpetrated by people is/are directly proportional to the level of their placement per time. Having formed the habit of extorting motorists and other road users as a security officer, you will embezzle staggering sum of money if you later on head your organisation or any other government institution/parastata.

The magnitude of crime committed by anyone is within the confine of his/her area of influence. Whoever steals $1,000 from $10,000 monthly allocation for specified purposes directly in his charge at work without being caught, will upgrade to stealing $100,000 when the allocation is increased to $1,000,000.

Perhaps at your level now, you indulge in: exam malpractices, bribery, ghost worker scheme, forgery, production/sales of substandard or expired products, poor service delivery, injustice, theft, internet fraud (yahoo yahoo), land grabbing, ritual murder, 'do as I say' charm, kidnapping, reckless driving, littering of public places, discrimination or abuse of due process and any other evil deed; you are in no better way different to your bad leaders and every corrupt person at the top. Without making right changes now that you are at the grass root, you will do worse to get to the top and surely, you will do the worst to remain at the top.

I am very sure by now, you would have known plainly your status having read through this piece if you had erroneously thought you are not guilty of indiscipline and corrupt practices. What is next is to make required adjustment wherever you are found wanting. It is impossible to effect correction without knowing or admitting the wrong you do. The process of transformation is activated when a people become remorsefully aware of their gross malpractices, admit they are wrong and bid for a change.

Everybody wants to live in a well developed, peaceful, secured and empowering society but very few always do the needful to turn their immediate communities to paradise where unlimited prosperity is expressly achievable.

If you want to live in a place that is full of pleasant opportunities and possibilities, earnestly strive to make where you hailed from (and/or where you are) a land flowing with milk and honey.

When 'the grasses of your country are made greener', you and your fellow citizens would not have to be looking for greener pastures elsewhere. Thereby, you will not be subjected to possible  maltreatment in a foreign land incase citizens of your host nation turn against immigrants.

Many people endangered themselves (and others) by taking unnecessary risk in search of 'already-made-society' for them to live and be established as an alternative to their own place of origin. Some of them didn't live to share the hard lessons therein. Little do they know that their own nation is potentially a great nation that is yet to attain excellence because they and the rest citizens are yet to make it happen.

I beseech you to empower your nation to become the best it should be. Don't merely hope that your nation will be great someday, make her great on daily basis. Your nation too could be turned to an 'already-made-society' if you play your own part without compromise. Always be to your nation the very best you want your nation to be to you. Potentially, your nation is a paradise; don't make her a hell.

WHO IS FOOLING WHO?

Some people don't just know what they are up to and 'what is up to them'. They created the problems, they promised the solutions yet, they don't cease to compound those problems.

'Now that it has dropped from their hands' and they could no longer contain the consequences of their own evil practices (nigbati o si ti bo lowo won ti agbara won o si ka ise ibi won mo), they should be remorseful and take responsibility for their evils and correct their wicked ways.

Fear of uncertainty and insecurity had robbed many people of their humanity.
That is why 'those who need not to steal at all' so to say, are engrossed in the habit of stealing what they already have in excess.
That is why those who are given power to protect others turnaround to use the power to victimize people they were raised and empowered to lift up in some places.

When the people that smuggled the king's golden crown in the palace at midnight also came at daylight assuring the king saying they will help him find out the thieves to recover the stolen crown; who is fooling who?

How insensitive and foolish could a people be? If it is obvious that the people you are following don't mean well for you, must you keep following them? At least, you can choose not to be deceived no matter the strategies of the known deceivers.

Never again must you fall into the hands of those that play on your mind to defraud and oppress you. Do not be insensitive to the strategies of people that see you as their 'mumu', 'mugun' and 'maga'. Steven Biko hinted: "The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed." They offer unsuspecting people a thousand dollar to rob them of a billion dollar. They usually try to make their victims see them as good people to keep them in perpetual slavery.

'Eni ti e ti mo wipe ole ni ti e tun fi se akapo owo, ti o ba kowo yin je ko jebi yin rara o'; (i.e. Someone you already know is a thief that you put in charge of the treasury has been given licence to loot the treasury and you have no case against him). Once you know how a people are, there is no point committing unto them what is beyond their capacity to handle. Some folks don't just have what it takes to deliver honesty, truthfulness, fairness, accountability, justice, peace, security and collective advancement.

Nobody have the power to rule over you, abuse your human right, defraud your commonwealth and destroy the future of your society than the people you give the power to do so. If any people under unfair and unjust people say enough is enough right now, so it is. ALL OF US VERSUS EACH OF US

What belongs to all of us should be highly valued, cherished, maximized and jealously guarded by all of us for all of us.

Our collective heritage, blessings and everything that enhances peaceful and prosperous coexistence should be faithfully embraced, explored, practiced and promoted by every person.

Advancement of each of us should be the interest of all of us and advancement of all of us should be the interest of each of us.

None of us should (attempt to) make gain at the expense of all of us (or any of us). An attempt by one/some of us to have dominion and control over the rest of us profits none of us.

It could and should be a-win-win-experience for people everywhere.

We can all grow, flourish and prosper together in our respective communities if we are willing. The job is made easy if our minds are together with the mentality that we are of the same bloodline and brotherhood whether or not we are related and regardless of our differences. A people living together whose minds are apart, are incapacitated to always bless one another thereby, cannot prosper together.

If citizens of all nations operate with the understanding that their commonwealth and collective prosperity is of paramount importance above each person's interest and everything else, they will turn their respective nations to paradise.

Since human beings are made and ordained to live together as families in different communities and nations, every person have moral obligation to ensure advancement of the community and nation he/she belongs to.

All is more than one or some. One person or some people should not dare (or be given a chance) to take the rest to ransom. Problems abound wherever an individual or a group handles collective issues with levity or advances to take over what belongs to all for their own personal benefits as against collective benefits.

Do not get to a level that you will be indifferent or work against the prosperity of one or some or the totality of your fellow citizens and the rest of humanity. You don't win by making gains at the expense of anyone or your organisation or your society and the global family.

I leave you to always bear in mind this philosophy of mine I always tell myself to ensure I don't lose it as given in capital letters below. I LOSE NO MATTER WHAT I MAKE FOR MYSELF AT THE EXPENSE OF ANYBODY AND COLLECTIVE SUCCESS.

INTENTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

If any people truly want to live in a well organized, developed, secured and prosperous society; they must be collectively deliberate/intentional and committed to make it their reality.
Those who are indifferent or totally against the vision to achieve a common goal with others for the good of all in their society, slow down its possibility.

Nothing can hinder a people that are intentionally walking and working together with one mind, one purpose and one interest to ensure collective advancement.

Until every person of every nation (especially third world countries) across the world get their minds renewed with an understanding that they have to be intentional about collective progress, they cannot fast track the possibility of the much needed positive shift in their public affairs to effect sustainable growth.

People's reasoning, expectations, actions, habits and lifestyles must align with their desire to have successful communities of their own for it to materialise.

You cannot wake up the next day a changed person if you only wish to change but refused to embrace the process of change. Mere wishful desire of prosperity without deliberate initiatives in the right direction is too weak to birth the expected. Unexpected poor result is the outcome without deliberate efforts to birth an expected good result.

Always be deliberate at advancing your life, your society and entire humanity. Personal and community success is made easy if everyone is intentional.

Or it is certain I won't change for good
to always do what is right very right.
If I won't improve on myself
to be the very best I should be;
you are free and permitted
to walk away without looking back.

However, on the other hand
Before you close your heart
Or hastily take your leave
Ensure your inference is correct
not to make a wrong decision.

If I am judiciously striving
to be my very best
If I am always improving
to empower the rest
If I am fervently working
to attain perfection
Surely, there is hope for me
to be a sought after everywhere.
So, don't write me off yet;
I am still a work in progress.

Come tomorrow,
your soul won't depart from you
at a glimpse of my advancement
should our path meet again
or you read my exploits on the headlines
or hear of my excellence from a far country.

Nevertheless,
if the direction of my life
don't lead to (or won't get you to)
your own desired destination;
suffer not yourself to bounce with me
until I make a timely and necessary switch.


Food for Thought:

Never give up on whoever is yet to thrive but is earnestly striving to get there. Whoever refused to give up on himself/herself cannot be underestimated.

It is only someone who chose to remain the same on a spot and unwilling to improve on himself until death that lack glorious future.

No matter how much people love you and willing to be there for you, you render them incapacitated if you have chosen to be the same forever. You become pissful for as long you decide to remain a failure.

Be careful of those you let into your life. Whoever will consequently draw you back from making tremendous progress is not worthy to be in your life. It is very dangerous to take on someone who is not committed to leading a meaningful life. People that mess up their own lives rarely do contrarily to another person's life.

Whoever does not change his/her mind in good time cannot change his/her bad habit(s). It doesn't take eternity to correct oneself. You cannot afford to suspend your own life unnecessarily waiting for people to improve on themselves. Move on with your life if those in question have unbreakable resistance to positive changes. Only people that are committed to timely improvement are worth dealing with.
