WHO IS FOOLING WHO?

Some people don't just know what they are up to and 'what is up to them'. They created the problems, they promised the solutions yet, they don't cease to compound those problems.

'Now that it has dropped from their hands' and they could no longer contain the consequences of their own evil practices (nigbati o si ti bo lowo won ti agbara won o si ka ise ibi won mo), they should be remorseful and take responsibility for their evils and correct their wicked ways.

Fear of uncertainty and insecurity had robbed many people of their humanity.
That is why 'those who need not to steal at all' so to say, are engrossed in the habit of stealing what they already have in excess.
That is why those who are given power to protect others turnaround to use the power to victimize people they were raised and empowered to lift up in some places.

When the people that smuggled the king's golden crown in the palace at midnight also came at daylight assuring the king saying they will help him find out the thieves to recover the stolen crown; who is fooling who?

How insensitive and foolish could a people be? If it is obvious that the people you are following don't mean well for you, must you keep following them? At least, you can choose not to be deceived no matter the strategies of the known deceivers.

Never again must you fall into the hands of those that play on your mind to defraud and oppress you. Do not be insensitive to the strategies of people that see you as their 'mumu', 'mugun' and 'maga'. Steven Biko hinted: "The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed." They offer unsuspecting people a thousand dollar to rob them of a billion dollar. They usually try to make their victims see them as good people to keep them in perpetual slavery.

'Eni ti e ti mo wipe ole ni ti e tun fi se akapo owo, ti o ba kowo yin je ko jebi yin rara o'; (i.e. Someone you already know is a thief that you put in charge of the treasury has been given licence to loot the treasury and you have no case against him). Once you know how a people are, there is no point committing unto them what is beyond their capacity to handle. Some folks don't just have what it takes to deliver honesty, truthfulness, fairness, accountability, justice, peace, security and collective advancement.

Nobody have the power to rule over you, abuse your human right, defraud your commonwealth and destroy the future of your society than the people you give the power to do so. If any people under unfair and unjust people say enough is enough right now, so it is. ALL OF US VERSUS EACH OF US

What belongs to all of us should be highly valued, cherished, maximized and jealously guarded by all of us for all of us.

Our collective heritage, blessings and everything that enhances peaceful and prosperous coexistence should be faithfully embraced, explored, practiced and promoted by every person.

Advancement of each of us should be the interest of all of us and advancement of all of us should be the interest of each of us.

None of us should (attempt to) make gain at the expense of all of us (or any of us). An attempt by one/some of us to have dominion and control over the rest of us profits none of us.

It could and should be a-win-win-experience for people everywhere.

We can all grow, flourish and prosper together in our respective communities if we are willing. The job is made easy if our minds are together with the mentality that we are of the same bloodline and brotherhood whether or not we are related and regardless of our differences. A people living together whose minds are apart, are incapacitated to always bless one another thereby, cannot prosper together.

If citizens of all nations operate with the understanding that their commonwealth and collective prosperity is of paramount importance above each person's interest and everything else, they will turn their respective nations to paradise.

Since human beings are made and ordained to live together as families in different communities and nations, every person have moral obligation to ensure advancement of the community and nation he/she belongs to.

All is more than one or some. One person or some people should not dare (or be given a chance) to take the rest to ransom. Problems abound wherever an individual or a group handles collective issues with levity or advances to take over what belongs to all for their own personal benefits as against collective benefits.

Do not get to a level that you will be indifferent or work against the prosperity of one or some or the totality of your fellow citizens and the rest of humanity. You don't win by making gains at the expense of anyone or your organisation or your society and the global family.

I leave you to always bear in mind this philosophy of mine I always tell myself to ensure I don't lose it as given in capital letters below. I LOSE NO MATTER WHAT I MAKE FOR MYSELF AT THE EXPENSE OF ANYBODY AND COLLECTIVE SUCCESS.

INTENTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

If any people truly want to live in a well organized, developed, secured and prosperous society; they must be collectively deliberate/intentional and committed to make it their reality.
Those who are indifferent or totally against the vision to achieve a common goal with others for the good of all in their society, slow down its possibility.

Nothing can hinder a people that are intentionally walking and working together with one mind, one purpose and one interest to ensure collective advancement.

Until every person of every nation (especially third world countries) across the world get their minds renewed with an understanding that they have to be intentional about collective progress, they cannot fast track the possibility of the much needed positive shift in their public affairs to effect sustainable growth.

People's reasoning, expectations, actions, habits and lifestyles must align with their desire to have successful communities of their own for it to materialise.

You cannot wake up the next day a changed person if you only wish to change but refused to embrace the process of change. Mere wishful desire of prosperity without deliberate initiatives in the right direction is too weak to birth the expected. Unexpected poor result is the outcome without deliberate efforts to birth an expected good result.

Always be deliberate at advancing your life, your society and entire humanity. Personal and community success is made easy if everyone is intentional.

IF I WON'T IMPROVE...

When I reach out
to walk with you
When I reach out
to be your friend
When I reach out
to be your lover
If I don't meet up
with your standard
If I don't represent
the best you deserve
Please, never hold my hand.

May be,
I would wake up
to brace up
and build up
to be someone
nobody can do without.

Perhaps I refused to work on my mind
to be a better person,
May be I failed to upgrade on every side
to be desirable,
Or it is certain I won't change for good
to always do what is right very right.
If I won't improve on myself
to be the very best I should be;
you are free and permitted
to walk away without looking back.

However, on the other hand
Before you close your heart
Or hastily take your leave
Ensure your inference is correct
not to make a wrong decision.

If I am judiciously striving
to be my very best
If I am always improving
to empower the rest
If I am fervently working
to attain perfection
Surely, there is hope for me
to be a sought after everywhere.
So, don't write me off yet;
I am still a work in progress.

Come tomorrow,
your soul won't depart from you
at a glimpse of my advancement
should our path meet again
or you read my exploits on the headlines
or hear of my excellence from a far country.

Nevertheless,
if the direction of my life
don't lead to (or won't get you to)
your own desired destination;
suffer not yourself to bounce with me
until I make a timely and necessary switch.


Food for Thought:

Never give up on whoever is yet to thrive but is earnestly striving to get there. Whoever refused to give up on himself/herself cannot be underestimated.

It is only someone who chose to remain the same on a spot and unwilling to improve on himself until death that lack glorious future.

No matter how much people love you and willing to be there for you, you render them incapacitated if you have chosen to be the same forever. You become pissful for as long you decide to remain a failure.

Be careful of those you let into your life. Whoever will consequently draw you back from making tremendous progress is not worthy to be in your life. It is very dangerous to take on someone who is not committed to leading a meaningful life. People that mess up their own lives rarely do contrarily to another person's life.

Whoever does not change his/her mind in good time cannot change his/her bad habit(s). It doesn't take eternity to correct oneself. You cannot afford to suspend your own life unnecessarily waiting for people to improve on themselves. Move on with your life if those in question have unbreakable resistance to positive changes. Only people that are committed to timely improvement are worth dealing with.

ONLY THIEVES LET THIEVES GET AWAY WITH STEALING

Stephen Dick wrote: "The thieves ain't our problem. The society that lets them get away with it is".
From this profound statement, it is not wrong to say: a society that lets thieves get away with stealing is full of thieves.

Only thieves support and defend thieves.
Only thieves unduly spare and unnecessarily pardon thieves.
Only thieves are unperturbed about prevalent and incessant stealing in every facet of the society.
Only thieves shield the thieves in their circle while they prosecute (or call on the authority to prosecute) other thieves.
Only thieves raise eyebrow and cry foul when their own people who are guilty of stealing are penalised.
Only thieves are partial, sentimental, prejudicial, bias and unjust in the fight against stealing and corruption.

Worst of it all is the exclusion of looting, corruption and malpractices often perpetrated by public office holders from list of criminal offences in some places as shown by body language and expressions of those in question and majority of citizens.

The undoing of any society is to classify stealing into categories by rating one/some higher, honourable and acceptable than others. In the real sense, all wrong doings and malpractices (regardless of its degree and what caused it) should be condemned.

When perpetrators of 'official robbery' (any stealing involving government officials and political office holders) are still given accolades and celebrated while 'domestic stealing' is frowned at by melting out jungle justice to people who steal gari, rice, yam, meat et al because of hunger; it is a proof that the people of the land lack right judgement and are cowards.

Who deserves jungle justice between looters of public treasury who escape civil justice and ordinary citizens who steal food not to die of hunger? Don't you know that diversion of public funds to private purses contributes greatly to economy collapse, scarcity, hardship and also, influence many to employ illegality for survival?

In as much that hungry boy who steal a module of gari would be burnt alive by angry mob, the same punishment should be extended to everyone who steal from public fund under the pretext of serving as public servants. It is of cowards and miserable people to unleash jungle justice on hungry people who steal food at the market place while they watch corrupt citizens freely loot their commonwealth without giving them jungle justice if civil justice is ineffective. Only thieves let thieves get away with stealing.

KNOCKOUT IMPOSSIBILITY OF EVERY GOOD THING IN YOUR MIND AHEAD OF 2017

Some people came to the world and proved that everything is impossible by doing nothing. Some others came and proved that everything is possible by doing the impossible.

Perhaps there is any good thing you still think is impossible for you, your nation and the rest of humanity to do, to have, to enjoy and become; I beseech you to alter that faulty believe system. The very best is possible no matter how difficult and impossible it appears. Even the poorest persons and most backward nations can turnaround to undergo changes and become highly successful (it is left to those concerned to take the right steps). I give it to you; if you can dare, you will soar higher.

As a brand new year 2017 presents itself to you on a platter of gold with limitless opportunities and endless possibilities, get your groove on to sing and dance to its melodies.
